David Honl is a self-taught American photographer with 22+ years professional experience. Over the years, his work has been published by Newsweek, Parade, American Cinematographer, National Geographic, and countless others. For the past 4 years David has covered the war in Iraq from his home base in Istanbul Turkey, and completed numerous assignments throughout Turkey, Kazakhstan, Jordan, and Iraq. He currently based in Los Angeles.
David is on the National Faculty for the National Press Photographers Association's Flying Short Course 2008, where he will speak about lightweight location lighting used in his travels.
